We are very excited to say that in December, Pintar en Bolivia was invited for the first time to French regional TV! And what’s more, we now have a subtitled version we can share for you to enjoy!

Violaine, who is part of our wonderful business team in Europe , was invited over Christmas time on the set of France 3 Alsace to present our NGO, its work and put forward the cause and issues we address daily. The 9h50 TV Show runs daily, giving opportunities to businesses, start-ups, individuals and associations to have voice and spread their work regionally and nationally in France.

Violaine brilliantly explained the mission of Pintar en Bolivia, the benefits of Art Therapy and the need for women empowerment in Bolivia. We are very proud to have been able to share this with such an audience, especially as it demonstrates the interest people show in our NGO, and a rising understanding towards Art Therapy.

The interview also explored the topic of women in Bolivia, not shying away from the negative impacts of an extremely patriarchal society. As Violaine said, “We try to make these women understand that they are entitled to their own identity, and to move forward in their life” – she conveyed the effectiveness art can bring when discussing persona trauma, as well as the importance of self-expression in the face of personal problems. The interviewer also brought up the issue of isolated rural communities in Bolivia, to which Violaine was able to talk about the possibilities of our upcoming project, the Pintar en Bolivia Art Therapy Bus!
It was a very illuminating interview, and we’re happy to share it with you!
Give it a watch, and let us know what you think.
